Unearthing OURPast Through Place-Based Digital Content

That's a mouthful isn't it? No worries, place-based digital content is simply using historic places to tell broader stories through online content. It is a way to preserve stories in a format that makes them accessible to all. I had no idea what this is before I joined the National Park Service, but it's something I've grown to love. Here are samples of my work.

Dr. Betty Shabazz (1934-1997) is an American Hero. Born Betty Dean Sanders, she was an American educator and civil rights activist. Shabazz was also the wife of Malcolm X.
